It was a day like any other when we received the devastating news that both Mum and Dad had tested positive for Covid-19. The following weeks were a whirlwind of doctor’s visits, constant worry, and sleepless nights. Despite their best efforts, the virus took its toll on their already fragile health.
As their condition worsened, the decision was made to admit them to the hospital. Being unable to be by their side during this time was one of the hardest things we had to endure. The days dragged on as we waited anxiously for updates from the medical team.
Then came the heartbreaking news that Mum had passed away. The pain and loss felt in that moment were indescribable. We were left numb, trying to process the fact that one of our pillars of strength was no longer with us.
Just when we thought things couldn’t get any worse, Dad’s condition deteriorated rapidly. Despite the best efforts of the medical staff, he too lost his battle with the virus. The grief of losing both parents within a short span of time was overwhelming.
Life will never be the same without Mum and Dad. Their absence is felt in every corner of our home, in every meal shared, and every moment of laughter missed. The void left by their passing is a constant reminder of the cruel reality of this pandemic.
As we try to pick up the pieces and navigate this new world without them, we hold on to the memories of their love, their strength, and their unwavering support. They may be gone, but their legacy lives on in the lessons they taught us and the values they instilled in us.
Rest in peace, Mum and Dad. Your presence will forever be missed, but your love will always be felt.
